Flea & Tick Treatment for Dogs in Southwest Ranches
Found fleas or ticks and wondering whether to keep your grooming appointment? Give us a call first. Coco’s offers a flea-and-tick wash for dogs as an add-on to mobile grooming in Southwest Ranches. We’ll ask what you’ve noticed, check the coat, and agree on the work and price before we begin.
Adding treatment to a grooming visit? Mention it when you book. For a separate treatment appointment, call first.
What the treatment adds to your visit
What’s Included
Your grooming package covers the bath and finish you choose. This add-on is the extra flea-and-tick wash and attention your dog’s coat needs. We’ll talk through what’s involved before adding it to the visit.
- A coat check before treatment.
- TropiClean Natural Flea & Tick Maximum Strength shampoo for dogs.
- Application and contact time following the product label.
- A thorough rinse.
- Towel-drying followed by hand blow-drying as part of the agreed visit.
- Any additional work discussed with you before we start.
A few things to tell us first
When you call, have your dog’s age, breed and approximate weight ready. Tell us where you’ve seen fleas or ticks, whether the skin looks irritated, and which flea-and-tick products you’ve already used. The product name and date matter more than a guess at what it was.
Flea & Tick Treatment Pricing
Our published dog-grooming add-on range is $25–$35.
Your dog’s size, coat thickness and the extent of the work can change the quote. More involved treatment may cost more than the published range. We confirm the work and full price with you before starting.
A separate treatment visit is quoted after a conversation. Call us so we can ask a few questions and decide whether that booking makes sense for your dog.
The calculator gives a starting grooming estimate. Please call about fleas or ticks before booking.

What happens in the van
A little information before the visit helps us plan it properly. Tell us what you’ve seen and what you’ve already tried, then we’ll check your dog’s coat and agree on the appointment.
1. Talk through the problem
We ask about your dog's age, coat and any products already used. Let us know about sensitive areas or previous reactions before we choose the approach.
2. Check the coat and price
Your groomer looks through the coat, discusses the work and confirms the price. If the skin or your dog's condition needs veterinary attention, that comes before a grooming treatment.
3. Apply the flea-and-tick wash
We wet the coat with warm, filtered water and apply the dog-specific TropiClean shampoo according to its directions.
4. Give the product its contact time
Treatment shampoo needs time on the coat. We follow the label rather than treating it like a quick lather and rinse.
5. Rinse and dry
We rinse thoroughly, towel-dry, then hand blow-dry the coat. There are no cage dryers.
6. Finish the agreed appointment
We complete the grooming included in your selected package. A separate visit covers the work quoted for that appointment, rather than automatically including a haircut or the whole grooming package.
A flea wash is one part of the plan
The TropiClean shampoo we use is designed to kill fleas and ticks on contact. Your dog’s wash is one part of dealing with the problem, though. It doesn’t treat the bedding or your home, and it doesn’t replace a prevention plan from your veterinarian.
If your dog has recently had a flea-and-tick product, tell us its name and when it was used. Bathing instructions differ between products, so follow that product’s label and your veterinarian’s advice before adding another wash.
What takes the extra time
This is the bit that can get missed when you’re comparing prices. The treatment shampoo needs time on the coat before it’s rinsed away, and attached ticks can need individual attention. There can be more products and more hands-on work than in a routine bath.
That’s why we ask you to call first. A dog with a few visible fleas and a dog with a much more extensive problem may need different appointment plans. Your groomer will explain what they find and what that means for the visit.
